Default [Info-Ingres] LOfrom ... SIGSEGV

Hi All,

LO, LO, LO, whats all this then?

I've been getting occassional SIGSEGVs whose line 0 is:

0: 40d261f0 iidbms(LOfroms+0x76) [0x458936]( ... )

The installation is running II 9.2.0 (a64.lnx/143)NPTL +p13556. There
have been four incidents since the patch was installed on 6th December.
The installation has stayed up in all cases...but its worrying.

Anyone got any idea what may be happening.

That function converts a string containing a directory path into an internal Ingres "Location" representation. My guess is that the address of the input string is bad, causing a SEGV. It's probably not the fault of LO; the rest of the stack trace back might give a clue.....either way it's an Ingres bug, I would log a service desk issue if I were you.
