Question Paper copies of Ingres documentation

Hello everybody,

I was wondering if Ingres documentation can be ordered in printed form? If so, from where?

I would buy copies of "SQL Reference Guide" and "Migration Guide" in this case.

Kind regards

Dejan

The short answer is no.

The somewhat longer answer is that I do vaguely recall hearing (or possibly dreaming) about the possibility of making the documentation available from one of the many print-on-demand services. It ought to be almost trivial do set up. I would probably also buy a couple. But as I say, I may be dreaming this.

Default hard copy version of Ingres docs

Currently this is not an option, but we are pursuing some options and will update this list when finalized.
Did you recently see the new SQL book for Ingres available on lulu.com?
The SQL Guide to Ingres by Rick van der Lans (Book) in Computers

Since the docs are PDF you could either print them yourself or use a professional print service.

Most people do not need the entire doc kit.

woode01, yep I have ordered that book last week - I hope it is good.

I am quite new to Ingres to be honest. I come from MySQL & Oracle world but my current (new) job requires knowledge of Ingres.

Daryl, yes, I agree, but I still think it would be great to have that function on Ingres website so people like me can order paper copies of the Ingres documentation. It would certainly save us a lot of time.

Kind regards, and thank you all for replies.
