Default Searching the forums for ABF

I wanted to search the forums for posts about ABF on Linux. It appears that the keyword "ABF" is rejected as being too short. So instead of a small handful of posts I get 500 that mention Linux.

"ABF" may be short but it is very important in the Ingres context. Is there any way to stop the forum software from nannying me?

It seems that double-quoting "ABF" makes the warning go away, but now I get no matching threads either, not even this one.

Roy,

I've put in a request to see what could be done here. One way around this in the future is to use Tags with forum postings as you can search for ABF as a tag & it does locate one post.

I tagged a few abf posts that I saw so you should at least see these now if you do a Tag Search & use the tag word abf.

It's a limitation of MediaWiki and MySQL (see this), but it should be correctable.

I have updated the search settings to allow for ABF.

Sorry Paul, that doesn't seem to have done it. The warning that the keyword is too short no longer appears, but abf isn't used either, so I get no hits. If I use linux as well I get 500 wether ABF is mentioned or not.

Teresa, sadly, I don't foresee many posters using tagging. :-(

Thanks Paul (maspa05). [Various reactionary comments self-censored.]
