Ingres Corporation, the leading open source database management company and pioneer of the New Economics of IT, announced today that it has been named a strong performer in The Forrester Wave ™: Enterprise Database Management Systems, Q2 2009 report authored by Noel Yuhanna, analyst, and released last week. Ingres was among a select group of companies invited to participate in this report, which rates vendors based on their current product offering, strategy, and overall market presence. Forrester evaluated seven proprietary and open source database

vendors across 153 criteria. In this report, Ingres Database 9.2 had the highest score in current offering among open source database vendors.
