Webcast: Advantages and Disadvantages of using JDBC vs JPA/Hibernate - July 23, 2008

Hibernate and more recently the arrival of Java Persistence (JPA) standards have make it easy for developers to take advantage of JDBC functionality 'under the hood' while at the same time increasing productivity by employing sophisticated ORM technologies.

This presentation will explore the advantages and disadvantages of plain JDBC vs JPA/Hibernate and show how to make best use of both technologies when developing persistent Java applications with Ingres.
