OpenROAD 2006 Service Pack 1 Alpha Downloads
Trial License Release Candidate (not certified for production use)
An ALPHA or BETA or release candidate is not certified for production use. It is intended to give users early access to upcoming releases and new features of the Ingres product line. It is useful for development, test implementations or demonstrations as a technical preview. Only a GA release should be used in a production environment.
NOTE: OpenROAD 2006 SP1 can be installed in a new installation or can upgrade an existing OR 2006 or OR 4.1 installation. It is required that II_SYSTEM be set prior to launching the OpenROAD 2006 installer. In a new installation, Ingres/Net should be installed prior to installing OpenROAD 2006.
Once a product is installed, any changes made to source components could result in their becoming incompatible with a prior release or version of OpenROAD. Accessing OpenROAD applications in a local or remote database from workstations running different versions of OpenROAD IS NOT SUPPORTED. Make sure to back up both your OpenROAD installation and OpenROAD source before applying this service pack.

OpenROAD 2006 Development Build Downloads
The OpenROAD 2006 Development Builds are created on a regular basis by the OpenROAD Engineering team. These builds represent the most recent version of the OpenROAD 2006 development code line. They have not been tested by the Quality Assurance team and are not supported. The intent of these builds is to provide customers with the means to test bug fixes and feature enhancements and provide feedback to Ingres Corporation before these changes are incorporated into a formal service pack or other product update.
Under no circumstances should these builds be placed in a production environment because it is possible to introduce regressions from official releases. Also, images produced with updated versions of the product may be incompatible with prior releases. Therefore, applications built on a machine running an OpenROAD 2006 Development Build cannot be reliably deployed to a machine running a prior GA build.
The OpenROAD 2006 Development Builds are not standalone versions of the OpenROAD environment. An existing OpenROAD 2006 Development environment is required before these builds can be applied. Do not attempt to apply an OpenROAD 2006 Development build to any other version of OpenROAD as this is not supported.
