A number of support options are available for your OpenROAD environment. If you are hosting a production application, your best bet to ensure complete continuity of service is to partner with Ingres Corporation with a commercial support contract. This provides you access to both the certified binaries as well as 24x7 "follow the sun" support from our Professional Support group.

Ingres Service Desk

If you are an Ingres customer with an active support contract, help is but a mouse click away. To raise a request with our professional support group, simply log in to Service Desk and log your request.

Community Forums

Support for the open source version of OpenROAD is provided by the community.

  • For questions regarding the use of OpenROAD (that is, coding questions, questions about the Workbench, Server, or clients), use the OpenROAD Developer's Forum.

There are a number of mail and news groups that support the OpenROAD community.

OpenROAD Users Mail List

The OpenROAD Users (openroad-users) mail list dedicated to users of OpenROAD who are building applications and may have technical or other questions or issues related to the use of the product. This is the primary end-user discussion list for OpenROAD.

OpenROAD Community Mail List

The OpenROAD Community (openroad-community) mail list is used to distribute news and announcements concerning developments in the OpenROAD open source community. The list is used to announce new members, significant project events (new projects, major project announcements, and so on) as well as the availability of new resources (downloads, presentations, code examples, and so on). The list is open for anyone to subscribe; however, new subscribers who are not members of the OpenROAD Community will be sent a separate invitation to join the community. Instructions to join the community are on the Community page.

NOTE: Only individuals who are administrators of OpenROAD open source projects will be approved to post to this list.

The OpenROAD Developer Mail List

The OpenROAD Developer (openroad-developer) mail list supports discussions relating to OpenROAD open source projects. This discussion group is open to OpenROAD Community Members who have taken the extra step of becoming an OpenROAD Community Developer.
