This wiki page is the home for consolidating information related to developing infrastructure that will better support Ingres' community.
Our goals are to provide:
1) A public code repository
2) A public bug tracker
3) Use a web based tool to better enable code inspections
4) Incease public access to Ingres related discussion
5) Anonymous downloads of Ingres code and community binaries
A presentation related to this initiative is available online here.

Code repository
This section provides information relating to code repositories for Ingres. Ingres has used an in-house custom code repository tool called piccolo for some years. Unfortunately piccolo was not designed to serve code to the public. It is also unique to Ingres and thus unfamiliar to most in the open source community. We are examining our options to choose the best way forward.

We expect svn will likely end up a front runner option. We set up a test environment to try it out. More information about the test environment can be found at bugs.ingres.com. The following provides a cheat sheet for those familiar with piccolo and a list of known deficciencies: Subversion for Ingres use
