Biography

I'm a Senior Software Engineer on the OpenROAD team. I primarily work on the OpenROAD Workbench and TransForge (which I suppose is my major "claim to fame"). I have been around Ingres and OpenROAD for most of my professional career -- first at Colgate Polmolive then at Object Services, CA and now here at Ingres. I was part of the team that originally conceived and implemented TransForge. We've used it successfully to convert some VERY large ABF applications to OpenROAD and the technology gets better and better with each project. Recently I have added enhancements that can allow ABF applications with query mode and where qualifications (contexts that are extensively used by VISION applications) to be sucessfully transformed into OpenROAD. In addition, I have enhanced the parser to allow ABF applications that are preprocessed (because they use "C" like #include statements to place common code in every frame) to recognize common code block and eliminate the code redundancies. The net-net is that TransForge is more powerful than ever.
